would that it were so: legend of korra/community
consider it a community crossover: think “Pascal’s Triangle Revisited.” At some times in the future, Team Avatar consists of Korra, Asami, Mako, Bolin, and Tahno. Korra is Jeff in this scenario, trying to decide between Bolin (Britta) and Tahno (Slater). Tahno, since his pretty horrible first impression and having his bending taken away is revealed to be a semi-decent human being who desperately wants revenge against Amon, making him a great ally for Korra. Bolin and Korra get along famously and are the most similar couple of the bunch, personality-wise. Both Bolin and Tahno tell Korra of their affections (see the Trannie Dance in Pascal’s Triangle), and Korra flees.
Meanwhile, Mako (Annie) and Asami (Vaughn) have announced to the group that they plan on rescuing Hiroshi Sato, Asami’s father, from one of Amon’s equalist camps (Amon punishing Sato for failing him). Mako leaves with Asami, albeit with reservations… and meets Korra upon his return as she rushes away from having to make a decision. Mako knows he can’t leave Korra now, that he can’t abandon his brother, and that he can’t abandon the cause of Team Avatar… and Hiroshi Sato has done too much evil to garner much sympathy for him.
Korra tells Mako of her predicament. Mako runs a hand through his hair: this kind of romantic entanglement is something clearly not good for team-building. He asks her who she’s going to choose. She tells him that she doesn’t know. They both pause.
He leans forward slowly, unsure, and presses his lips up against hers. She doesn’t move, doesn’t respond at all, and Mako pulls back. Korra looks at him with a stare that clearly reads, “Again.” She throws herself at Mako, and this time, neither of them pull back.
